Winky D and Stunner to rock Coca Cola Pimped Up Ride

Reggae and dancehall prodigy Winky D and urban grooves singer Stunner will go head-to-head at the Coca-Cola Pimped Up Ride launch in the Africa Unity Square tomorrow. The two artistes command a huge following among the urban youths with their fiery lyrical delivery that relate more to their day-to-day life.

Winky D, who is lovingly called by such sobriquets as the Bigiman or the "Messi of Reggae" by his fans, is one of the hottest performers at the moment. With several hit songs up his sleeve such as "Musarova Bigiman", "Takaipa Takaipa", "Green Like Mi Garden", "Buss Di Shot" and " Bhachi neJean", he is set to delight fans churning out hit after hit.
Currently, Winky D has been in the studio working on new songs that, according to his manager Jonathan Banda, are sure to cause a stir on the music scene.

Other upcoming artistes have tried in vain to take shots at Winky D, but he remains focused on perfecting his act rather than engage in a war of words.
Usually, he likes to respond to his detractors through hard-hitting songs, which in the end make him popular with fans. Humility, however, has become his biggest strategy.
Winky D, who was born Wallace Chirumiko, has built a firm fan base even beyond Zimbabwean borders where he continues to make waves. His last performance at the Harare International Festival of the Arts sponsored by Coca-Cola, and the recent Zim's Finest shows how much confidence music promoters have in Winky D.

On the other hand, Stunner - whose real name is Desmond Chideme - is riding on Power FM charts with his latest single titled "Godo" that features Ba Shupi on vocals. Stunner who is known for his "bling bling" whenever he takes to the stage will be more than ready to give his fans a lifetime experience.

Apparently, Stunner and Winky D have a duet together titled "Vaudze" and fans should expect to see the musicians sharing the stage. But Stunner is really no pushover as he mentions in "Godo" where he likens himself to a shark.

He is versatile on vocals and brilliant on stage work. Major Tikiwa of Multi Media, who are putting together the show, urged fans to throng Africa Unity Square for the free gig. "We are officially launching the Pimped Up Ride promotion on Saturday which will run until January 8. We urge all those who love music to come and enjoy with us as we present Winky D and Stunner," he said.

Raising Michael Jackson's children - An Emotional interview With Jackson's mom

There is nothing that can give a better glimpse into Michael Jackson himself than meeting his mother Katherine. They have the same whispery high voice. The same hunted look. They have the same air of a person who has endured much, yet has a sense of naivety. More than anything else there is a feeling that she is not quite of this world. I am inside the Jackson family home. The decor is chintzy faux Versailles with a few Seventies browns and oranges. There are paintings of princesses, lots of sculptures of giant hands, galloping horses and the odd giraffe. There is an ornament depicting Michael Jackson holding up the world with doves and children. It’s ornate and sentimental, a bit like Michael.
